Key Interventions:
- Renovation of health facilities (UHFWC and UHC)
- Temporary staff deployment to address critical vacancies (20Midwives/Paramedics, 10 support staff-Aya& Night Guard/10)
- Provision of MNCH-FP services through satellite clinic
- Set and implement quality standards for MNH-FP service
- Operation of Emergency Health Fund (EHF)
- Conduct of MNCH-FP awareness raising sessions through Upazila/Union level advocacy meeting
- Dissemination of MNCH-FP messages by using radio and IEC materials
- Support for functionalization of local community groups
- Revitalization/utilization of existing community groups/committee, champion
- Effective participation of women in facility and Union Parishad level Committees
- Recognition of service providers/promoters/volunteers
- e-HMIS and e-partograph

Required expertise, qualifications, and competencies, including language requirements:
- Post-graduate degree in Mass Communication/Development Studies/Education/Sociology, Anthropology, and/or a related subject.
- At least 7 years relevant experience in the development sector with specific experience in message development, IEC/BCC materials development and familiarity with SBCC activities, focused on Public Health (Maternal & Child Health) projects/programs.
- Good community assessment skills, including time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Inputs/Services to be provided (support services, office space, equipment), if applicable:
- Consultant will be responsible for arranging his/her own computer and other working aid/equipment.
- SKS Foundation will not provide any transport/vehicle support to the consultant for his/her traveling purpose to this assignment.
- No additional payment will be provided other than what is contracted.
- MAMOTA team will provide necessary information relevant with this assignment.
The payment process:
- 30% payment will be made after signing the agreement.
- Rest 70% payment will be made after receiving final message.
- All payment will be made through AC payee Cheque and Tax & VAT will be deducted as per Government rules and regulation.

Bangladesh has shown a strong commitment to ending preventable child and maternal deaths by 2030 in the spirit of achieving universal health coverage (UHC), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Ending Preventable Child and Maternal Deaths (EPCMD). However, the progress status is not uniform throughout the country. For decades, the Rangpur division has lagged among other rural areas of the country in health indicators, and over time this trend has not changed significantly.
Hence, the MAMOTA project is working towards reducing maternal and newborn preventable deaths through the promotion of MNCH-FP in the Gaibandha district.
